Altered Eclectics are running their December Challenge through to 1st February 2016, so the design team will be having a nice break...so
Thank You to our Boss Lady Elaine.
For Decembers Challenge I have altered a rubber stamp block...I take most of my stamps of their blocks as the wood eventually warps anyway, no matter how you store them....
I used a smallish block,measuring 2.5 inches x 3.5 inches
I paint the block in light brown acrylic paint twice and once dry scrubbed over it with gesso.
Then I stamped the script over every side of the block.
I had this image of this adorable little girl in my stash, so I trimmed around her and adhered her to the block...using fabric flowers, beads and a piece of broken jewellery I framed her face and shoulders.
The bottom of the block I used some gorgeous beaded trim. I found a key in my stash and also a short piece of chain with the charm on the end...it was just perfect for the end of the key.
To finish I added the disc and ring to the top so it can be hung almost anywhere....I am thankful my daughter dosen't read my blog as this piece was made for her as a stocking filler...
