Stylish at SPA.

Hi Everyone, just dropped in to share my postcard with  you.
The theme this week is Stylish and Aimeslee is the host.
I am sure she will recognise my stamps, we both love the Artistic Outpost stamps and we both enjoyed their challenges. I was sad when the challenges closed down.

Here is my postcard

I enjoyed creating the postcard, I used some spare card from another project where I had splattered paint and used a stencil.
You can find the challenge here at Sunday Postcard Art

Anything Goes at Tag Tuesday

I'm stepping in for our lovely Valerie, she isn't feeling too great, so I have offered up my Anything Goes Tag as some inspiration for her theme.

Hopefully she will better soon.

Here is my Tag...

The image of the Gibson Girl is a stamp, I actually have 3 of them, another identical to this one, but slightly smaller and another that has gears in her hair, the latter stamp would have been ideal for my tag, but it just does not stamp that well around the hair and gears.
The stamp I have used here stamps perfect every time and I always love to give her copper hair.
I do hope you find time to play along for the next two weeks.
Please make sure your tag is a tag, you can use any medium.

Travel at SPA.

I have the honour this week to host the challenge at SPA ( Sunday Postcard Art )
Each week someone choses the theme for the week and then at the end of the week, we pick our favourite 3 postcards for the sampler.
I do enjoy playing along whenever I can.
Anyway, on to my theme which is Travel, this can be any type of travel, even hiking.
Here is my postcard...

My postcard was cut from spare card that had watercolour paint on it, I used a stencil and a variety of stamps from my stash, then added the arrow, Route 66 shield and the car.
I enjoyed creating this postcard, maybe over done it with the stamping, but I like it, lol.
Do pop along and join us if you can, postcards must be 6"x 4" but you can use any medium.

Adder's fork and Blind worm's sting
Lizard's legs and Howlet's wings...

Seasons Tag

Good morning everyone, weather here is damp and for the last few days literally thousands of leaves have fallen from the huge trees here, so I could be out clearing my little garden later when it dries up from the overnight rain.

I am sharing my Seasons Tag that I have made for the challenge over at Tag Tuesday.

Valerie chose the theme, I had a great stamp for the Seasons, however, using watercolour card, it really didn't stamp that well.

There is still time to play along in this challenge, you can find it here at Tag Tuesday.

Trees at Sunday Postcard Art

Hi Everyone, Sunday Postcard Art have a new theme, this time it is trees, chosen by Annie.

I have several tree stamps, but decided to go with this one as it is terribly under used,

Unfortunately the sentiment didn't stamp to well, mainly due to me using watercolour paper, which is textured. I am annoyed at myself as the tree stamp I used with my stamping platform, so I could repeat it several times, I should have done the same with the sentiment!
The postcard was cut from a piece that I had been experimenting on with my paints.
Thanks for dropping by..xx

Robot at SPA

I've not played at Sunday Postcard Art for a while, so decided it was high time I got back there.

I am glad that I did as Aimeslee is hosting her Robot theme. Aimeslee is a crafter I have known from quite some time ago when we used to enter the same challenges at Artistic Outpost, which sadly stopped a few years ago, but often since then we have crossed paths through other challenges.

So Aimeslee, here is my Robot postcard....

Using up some spare card from another project I cut my postcard to the required size, 4"x 6" and stamped it up to make it a bit grungy, adding some doodles here and there.

The Owl Robot, the sentiment and background stamps are all by Lemon Creation.

Another Numbers Tag

Just dropping in to share another Tag for the challenge over at Tag Tuesday

It was my turn to choose the theme and I chose Numbers ( more than one )

I die cut the tag from some spare card that I had left over from another project, mainly because I love the colour combo. I had been having a play with water colour paints.

The stamp I think ( sorry, its such an old stamp ) is by Artistic Outpost and the sentiment by Lemon Creation.

Numbers Tag

It's my turn to host this fortnights challenge over at Tag Tuesday.

My theme is Numbers, can be any amount, but a minimum of 3.

Here is my first tag, the handsome Steampunk Man is from a set of digi images from Lemon Creation

Most of the background images are from Lemon Creation Stamps.

For my 2nd tag I have coloured using distress ink and the stamp is an oldie from Crafty Individuals

Please pop over and join in with our challenge, would love to see you and our team will drop by your blogs and leave some love.

School Days

I love Michele's  theme over at Tag Tuesday, she has chosen School Days. It takes me back to when I was at school.

I was a child who did enjoy going to school, although I wasn't a very quick learner and very often was told off for "not paying attention"

By the time I reached the age of 12yrs, I settled down and actually started to learn. Learning, back in the day, was so different than it is today, also the schools are more modern now. Teachers taught a variety of subjects and some things I still apply to my daily living now.

From the age of four and a half, my first day at school, my mother left me in reception, there was a smaller girl than myself who was crying so much, I went over to her and asked why she was crying, she said her mum has just left her here. I replied, so has my mum, but we can be friends and stay together. We are still very good friends almost 70 years later ( and yes, I am that old )

For my tag I stamped a grungy background and used images from a paper pad, at least I think they are, they've been in my craft room for a couple of years now. They were loose and given to me with other bits and bobs by a friend who has given up crafting. I used the school label, then cut the boys out and laid them over the labels.

You can find the challenge here at TAG TUESDAY

The Seaside

I have finally got my tag made for Pinky's Seaside theme over at Tag Tuesday. I have been lagging a bit with my makes, doesn't help when I've been decorating my bedroom, which took me ages as I didn't have much help. The only good thing was I was able to get rid of some clothes for our local charity shop. I thought if I've not worn it in the last year, there's no point putting things back for another year. I also realised I am becoming a hoarder, lol.

So here is my Tag, I have used several different makes of stamps for this one.

There's still time to play along, you can find us here...Tag Tuesday

Vintage at Tag Tuesday

It's been a funny week for me, a mixture of decorating, a painful back and somehow picked up a sickness bug.

So I apologise for not blogging my 2nd Tag over at Tag Tuesday

The theme is Vintage...

Still a few days left, so time to play along if you wish...x

Vintage Tag

Hello...time again for another challenge over at Tag Tuesday and the theme is mine " Vintage "

Unfortunately due to personal issues, I have only created one Tag, there will be another in a day or two.

Here is my Tag

Annoyingly, white on white never goes well for me, but I do hope you can take inspiration from my theme and come along and join us at Tag Tuesday

Summer Holiday

Sorry I haven't been around much, I've not really had the mindset to craft much due to family issues, then we have had all this extremely hot weather, which I just can't tolerate. It was a whopping 30 degrees in my home last evening, even though I had 3 fans running, plus later when it was cooling down, I had all the windows open, I was so hot that I thought I would self combust!

I realised this afternoon, that I hadn't made my tag for Valerie's "Summer Holiday" theme at Tag Tuesday  having missed Michele's theme I felt guilty skipping again, so made a quickie tag.

Keeping it in a blue tones, my Summer Holiday, would have to be by the sea, warm and sunny and very near the water so I can just cool down quickly, perfect for me.

Thank you to those that drop by my blog, I appreciate your comments xx

Flower Tag for TT

Jut dropping in to share my Flower Tag for the challenge over at Tag Tuesday

The theme was chosen by teamie Pinky.

I have literally hundreds of stamps, a lot of them are floral and I did intend to make my take elegant, maybe a bit Vintage/Chabby chic style...this is what I ended up creating!

So neither Vintage or Shabby Chic, lol.

How many of us settle to craft with an idea in our heads and make something completely different..lol.

Created with...

Water Coloured card.

Water colour paint.

Stamps

Gems & Cotton thread & Ribbon

A Riot of Colour

Over at Tag Tuesday Valerie has chosen Colours for her theme. She wants to see lots of colours, so I have used one of my tags that have a variety of water colours on it.

( Sorry about the uneven lower edge of the tag, it just would not lie flat, it looks worse in the photo than it really is,lol.)

The image, stamps and sentiment are by Lemon Creation

The challenge still has a week or so left to run and this Sunday (  2nd June ) we will announce the Challenge Favourite for Michele's Cat theme, so do check us out.

Good Morning from a very sunny and warm spot in Devon.

So nice to see it so bright outside. Not that I can tolerate the heat or sun for long, it's just nice having the lighter mornings and evenings.

So on to my Tag, made especially for Michele's theme over at Tag Tuesday

She wants to see cats, in any form, so please do drop by and join in if you can, while you are there you will see a couple of changes. We now have a blog badge for the Designers favourite and also a tab to let you know the following theme.

Another Bird Tag

Continuing with Pinky's theme of Birds over at Tag Tuesday, I have a second Tag that I made earlier.

A sweet stamp by Crafty Individuals in the style of  a mini postcard.

I had forgotten all about this tag to be honest and I am so glad I found it again. My daughter used to tell me I had to much craft stuff, that's why I can't find things when I need then, I totally disagreed with her, we can never have to much craft stuff, can we?

Do pop over and join us if you can at Tag Tuesday.

( apologies for the poor picture, my phone camera didn't do a good job did it.)

Birds of a Feather

Pinky's theme over at Tag Tuesday is now underway. I am really happy with this theme as I have been having a sort through my stamps and found a couple that fit the theme.

Here is my first Tag, I will blog the second one next week.

I just love this line up of Swallows, the stamp was gifted to me many moons ago and this is the first time I have used it.

I felt it didn't need extra decoration, just wanted the Swallows to stand proud.

I coloured them using water colours and found a sentiment stamp from another stamp set.

The breast of the birds are an off white colour, but again the lighting here really didn't make the colours pop, hence the bright card I used behind the Tag.

I do hope you can pop over and join us at Tag Tuesday

Bugs Tag

Do you get days where you are constantly on the go, but achieve very little, well today is one of those days for me, lol.

My crafting, after todays housework, just isn't going well, so I have had to step away from it for now.

As you know I am hosting the Anything Goes theme over at Tag Tuesday, there is still another week left if you want to play along.

I made several tags for this theme and this is my third tag I wanted to share with you.

All images and the sentiment (except the script ) are by Lemon Creations, the tag was cut from watercolour card that I splattered some pink paints over. The bug image is actually from a A5 sheet that Asia from Lemon Creation put in as a freebie with my order and was pre coloured, the colours married up really well.

Do pop over and join us if you can here at TAG TUESDAY.

Anything Goes at Tag Tuesday

Good Morning Everyone, hope you are all fine and dandy and the weather for you is good!

Over at Tag Tuesday it's an Anything Goes theme, chosen by me!

So long as your entry is a Tag, any medium, then chose any theme you want, simple!

Here are a my 2 tags in the hope to inspire you to play along with us...

Hope to see you at Tag Tuesday soon...x

Buttercups

The theme this sunday over at Sunday Postcard Art is Wildflowers, chosen by Peggy.

I rummaged through my stash and found a lovely Buttercup stamp, just what I needed as Buttercups are standing out well on the lawns and hedgerows at the moment, with the bees busy collecting the pollen on their little legs, lovely to see after the rain we have been having recently.

I'm not sure I've done this lovely stamp justice with my watercolour paints, doesn't help that the postcard is white, but looks grey...who would have thought that white has so many shades, lol.

Tuesday, April 9, 2024

Another Flower Tag

As promised, here is my 2nd Spring Flower Tag for Tag Tuesday

This time, again another freebie stamp from my friend, I have chosen a Hyacinth as my spring flower.

I remember my children growing these flowers they were fascinated at the time that out of one bulb a beautiful smelling flower would grow, the perfume would fill a room. A few times the children actually had 2 to 3 hyacinths from one bulb!

Sorry for such a blue tinge, the tag is actually white, the lighting wasn't great the day I took the photo, grey and overcast.

There are a few more days left in the challenge if you want to play along at Tag Tuesday xx

Spring Flowers

Sorry to say the weather here at the moment isn't very Spring like, wet and windy, a lot cooler too.

Personally I hate the rain, this winter we have had so much, everywhere you go the ground is sodden,

Anyway enough about the weather, lets get on with the challenge over at Tag Tuesday. Our lovely Valerie ( boss lady ) after being in hospital for weeks, is now home and has chosen the theme this time around.

Spring Flowers, so I have made 2 tags, one I will post later.

This is my Crocus Tag, a pretty stamp, given to me by a friend who had a sheet of stamps she had with her craft magazine. I never say no when she offers me little stamps like this, as they do come in handy.

The tag base is watercolour card that was an offcut from another project, I rarely throw pieces like this away, lol. The background stamp is from Lemon Creation.

Do pop over and join us if you can, we are here at Tag Tuesday xx

Gothic Arch or Gothic themed.

Just dropping in to share another Tag for teamie Michele's theme over at Tag Tuesday

She has chosen Gothic Arches or Gothic, so I have created a tag using a gothic shaped tag.

The background was created using watercolour paints, then stamped over with stamps from Lemon Creations. The girls are from Tim Holtz mini's and the quote is one of my favourites, but I just can't remember the maker as I have had it so long.

There is still time to enter the challenge here at TAG TUESDAY

Stars Postcard

Audrey is the host this week over at Sunday Postcard Art and she has chosen Stars as her theme.

Here is my Stars Postcard...

The background was created using water colour paints and twinkling H2o's ( not used them in a while )

The background stamps are by Lemon Creations and I used a freebie stencil for the stars.

The main image is from an old set of stamps by Artistic Outpost.

You can find Sunday Postcard Art  HERE

Gothic Arches or Gothic Theme

It's Tuesday, time for another fun challenge over at Tag Tuesday

This time around it is teamie Michele's theme, do pop over and check out her tags.

For my tag I used some backing paper that had gothic arches already printed, which I pasted over a medium sized tag, added the sentiment and some paper dolls from Tim Holtz.

I hope you will drop by Tag Tuesday and join us for Michele's challenge...x

I am late for this challenge at Sunday Postcard Art.

Better late than never as the saying goes, lol.

The theme Stamp People was chosen by Sabine.

I really enjoyed creating my postcard, a fun theme.x

Bunny or Hare

I wanted to post my tag earlier in the week, but I have had a nasty reaction to new pain medication and today is the best I have felt this week.

Over at Tag Tuesday, Pinky's theme of Bunny or Hare is underway, luckily for me I have a few bunny stamps and also one of the Hares, which is the one I have used for my tag.

Click on image to enlarge it.

Would love it if you could play along with us here at Tag Tuesday xx

In Memory of my Dad,

 Happy Sunday Everyone.

I am sharing my Wild West postcard with you today as it's my turn to host the challenge over at Sunday Postcard Art.

I chose this particular theme in memory of my father for two reasons, one, he absolutely loved the Wild West and two, today would have been his 94th Birthday.

I am pretty sure he had watched every " Western " movie that was ever made and I am pretty sure he read every western book too. I remember how I used to search charity shops and library sales in the hope I would find him a book he hadn't already read, bless him, he acted like he had won the lottery when I found him a book.

Happy Birthday Dad, love and miss you xx

You can find the postcard challenge over at Sunday Postcard Art

You can use any medium, however your postcard must be 4"x 6"

Asemic Writing

When I first heard of Asemic Writing, I really had no idea what it meant, so I googled it and was surprised that it is a type of script that many of us see.

Asemic Writing...is a wordless open semantic form of writing.

The word Asemic means having "no specific content"or "without the smallest unit of meaning."

So I thought I would use this as my theme this fortnight over at Tag Tuesday

I created my tags from some spare watercolour card scraps, and stamped the images over the paint.
Finally adding my Asemic script, which is fun to do.
The image on the top tag already has asemic script within the design.
I hope my tags will inspire you to pop over to Tag Tuesday and join in with our challenge.
