Stamp It Tags....

Yes,its that time of the week again, time for another fun Tag challenge at Go Tag Thursday.
This week the theme is Stamp It..so a stamped image, postage stamps, or you can use both like I have...

A Chunky Atc for MMM.

I had fun creating this chunky Atc, it's my design team project for More Mixed Media.

The challenge each week is always Mixed Media with an optional twist. this month the twist is Yellow.

I covered the front & back with floral backing paper and light green backing paper for the top,bottom and sides. 

I then distressed the edges using Fossilised Amber and for some shimmer I sprayed the whole piece with Docrafts Goldtone Spray. 

The word stamp is by Paperartsy and the Gibson Girl face is by Artistic Stamper. The girl was stamped separately, coloured, cut and added to the chunky Atc.

I added a scrap of lace to and some flowers and a bird to the bottom corner.

Sorry about the hot glue stringy bits...the photo shows everything,lol..I have since removed them...

I then added the feet and the top knob that I had painted yellow..the top also has 2 brass opposing  corners.

Altered Match Box

Time again for another challenge over at Rhedd's Creative Spirit...My project this week is a large altered matchbox which are readily available here at Fernli Designs...

Vintage Sweet Box

I came across this old sweet box when I had to clear my fathers house after he passed away. In his later years he became a bit of a hoarder, he always felt there was a use for everything....
So I decided to alter it as my design team project for Altered Eclectics.

I first gave the box 2 coats of white gesso, then painted the sides and inside the box in an off white acrylic paint....once dry I applied the napkin to the lid and using a brayer to get rid of an air bubbles.
I left the box overnight to completely dry.

For the sides of the box base I inked up the butterfly stamp by Kaiserkraft and stamped around the edges...then distressed all edges in Aged Mahogany distress ink.

I sprayed 2 coats of seal and shine all over the box and to finish I added a couple of brass corners and a butterfly.
