Tea Anyone?

It's been a while since I last blogged, I've been a bit busy with other things, but I made the effort to join in again with the challenge over at Sunday Postcard Art

The theme this sunday has been chosen by Amy, she has made a fab postcard too.

I have got a couple of cup stamps that I thought I could have used, but they really are to small to use on a 6"x4" postcard.

So I sourced a free teacup image from Pinterest (for personal use only) I love the cups!

I started by rubber stamping my blank postcard ( 6"x4" )

I then added the middle layer of a section of a napkin as it had a light image of a couple of flowers. I also added a couple of butterflies from another napkin.

Next I added some textured dots and then swiped over the whole postcard with some white paint.

After drying the paint I very lightly spritzed the card with Raspberry Glimmermist spray, the dried the card again.

To finish, I then added the teacups and words, distressed the edges with ink and once everything was dry I gave the postcard a coat of matt mod podge.

So if you fancy a fun challenge, why not pop over and join in, you can find it here at..

What a fun response to the cup challenge! I love that stack of vintage teacups. The only cup stamp I have is small also. Haven’t thought of a way to use it yet. You managed to create a very lacy, delicate looking background that is perfect for those vintage teacups.

Yes, Sandie, those cups are fab! But that background is soooo yummy and textural, the dots and layers of white paint make it look like it underneath netting, so pretty. xoxo
