Things with Wings.

For the current challenge over at Tag Tuesday I made a round Tag.

I so wanted to use a very old stamp of mine, by Queens Dresser Drawers. This stamp I must have purchased about 10 years ago, maybe even longer.

Pinkie chose the theme this time around.
I actually came across this stamp the other day when I was looking for something.
I stamped the image over a die cut circle that I coloured with distress ink, then I stamped the Butterfly section, on some spare card that I had previously coloured.
I used blue wire for the antennae and a pen nib for the body, then mounted the butterfly on the tag.

Use the First Letter of your Name

A great theme, chosen by Rein, over at Sunday Postcard Art this week.

So my name is Sandra therefore my letter is "S"

The background was created with oxide inks, which then I stamped over with a grungy stamp using blue ink.
The stamps are a set by PaperArtsy....except for the postage/postcard stamp, which is from Artistic Outpost.
I love how the stamps worked with the theme...
"S" =  Spikey Fish & Sea

Time Machine.

The theme this week at Sunday Postcard Art is Time Machine and was chosen by Sue.

I am running later than usual as I have had a few days where I've felt a bit rubbish with fibromyalgia.

Feeling a bit better today so managed to get my postcard finished.

I forgot how nice this stamp is, I actually layered up a couple of areas, the 2 cogs are so cool, they look 3D, that's the design of the stamp, very clever.

Do pop over and take a look and maybe enter this fun challenge, there is some awesome talent there.

You can find it here at SUNDAY POSTCARD ART

Floral Cuteness....

I've fallen behind with my crafting over the last few days, only takes a flare up of fibromyalgia to set me back. I had already made a start on two projects when I started to feel rubbish, but finally got them finished today.

Here are 3 collaged playing cards, exactly the same size as Artist Trading Cards.

To prepare the cards I sanded the laminate from the surface first, then went over with a light layer of gesso. Once the gesso was dry I stamped the script.

I have a lovely selection of floral paper napkins and took out 3 of my favourites and adhered them to each card. I set the card aside to dry while I took the images of the little girls from another paper napkin.
These were then added to my card, again, set aside to dry.
At this point I had to leave them for a few days as I had a flare up of fibro...today I distressed the edges in ink and sealed each card with seal & shine spray.
To finish I stamped the words using individual letters.
I am entering these in to the current challenge over at

Butterfly Tag

It's the 5th of the month, so time for another challenge over at More Mixed Media

As always, it is Anything Goes, with an Optional Colour Twist. The colour this month is "Green"

For my design team project this month I choose to create a tag.

Over my tag I used some shabby vintage style paper and distressed around the edges, making it slightly smaller than my actual tag.

I found some lovely lace in my stash that would compliment my design, so added that to my card.

On some scrap paper, I stamped the image with the butterflies, then distressed the edges and added it to my tag using foam pads.
I stamped the butterflies on to some spare card, coloured and cut them, then added them to my tag using foam pads and also some wire for their antennae in green wire and some litter glue on their bodies
I found the mini "simple" tag in my stash and decided to add it using a green brad.
You can find the challenge here at
I do hope you can find time to join us over the next 4 weeks.
