Bugs Tag

Do you get days where you are constantly on the go, but achieve very little, well today is one of those days for me, lol.

My crafting, after todays housework, just isn't going well, so I have had to step away from it for now.

As you know I am hosting the Anything Goes theme over at Tag Tuesday, there is still another week left if you want to play along.

I made several tags for this theme and this is my third tag I wanted to share with you.

All images and the sentiment (except the script ) are by Lemon Creations, the tag was cut from watercolour card that I splattered some pink paints over. The bug image is actually from a A5 sheet that Asia from Lemon Creation put in as a freebie with my order and was pre coloured, the colours married up really well.

Do pop over and join us if you can here at TAG TUESDAY.

Anything Goes at Tag Tuesday

Good Morning Everyone, hope you are all fine and dandy and the weather for you is good!

Over at Tag Tuesday it's an Anything Goes theme, chosen by me!

So long as your entry is a Tag, any medium, then chose any theme you want, simple!

Here are a my 2 tags in the hope to inspire you to play along with us...

Hope to see you at Tag Tuesday soon...x

Buttercups

The theme this sunday over at Sunday Postcard Art is Wildflowers, chosen by Peggy.

I rummaged through my stash and found a lovely Buttercup stamp, just what I needed as Buttercups are standing out well on the lawns and hedgerows at the moment, with the bees busy collecting the pollen on their little legs, lovely to see after the rain we have been having recently.

I'm not sure I've done this lovely stamp justice with my watercolour paints, doesn't help that the postcard is white, but looks grey...who would have thought that white has so many shades, lol.

Another Flower Tag

As promised, here is my 2nd Spring Flower Tag for Tag Tuesday

This time, again another freebie stamp from my friend, I have chosen a Hyacinth as my spring flower.

I remember my children growing these flowers they were fascinated at the time that out of one bulb a beautiful smelling flower would grow, the perfume would fill a room. A few times the children actually had 2 to 3 hyacinths from one bulb!

Sorry for such a blue tinge, the tag is actually white, the lighting wasn't great the day I took the photo, grey and overcast.

There are a few more days left in the challenge if you want to play along at Tag Tuesday xx

Spring Flowers

Sorry to say the weather here at the moment isn't very Spring like, wet and windy, a lot cooler too.

Personally I hate the rain, this winter we have had so much, everywhere you go the ground is sodden,

Anyway enough about the weather, lets get on with the challenge over at Tag Tuesday. Our lovely Valerie ( boss lady ) after being in hospital for weeks, is now home and has chosen the theme this time around.

Spring Flowers, so I have made 2 tags, one I will post later.

This is my Crocus Tag, a pretty stamp, given to me by a friend who had a sheet of stamps she had with her craft magazine. I never say no when she offers me little stamps like this, as they do come in handy.

The tag base is watercolour card that was an offcut from another project, I rarely throw pieces like this away, lol. The background stamp is from Lemon Creation.

Do pop over and join us if you can, we are here at Tag Tuesday xx

Gothic Arch or Gothic themed.

Just dropping in to share another Tag for teamie Michele's theme over at Tag Tuesday

She has chosen Gothic Arches or Gothic, so I have created a tag using a gothic shaped tag.

The background was created using watercolour paints, then stamped over with stamps from Lemon Creations. The girls are from Tim Holtz mini's and the quote is one of my favourites, but I just can't remember the maker as I have had it so long.

There is still time to enter the challenge here at TAG TUESDAY

Stars Postcard

Audrey is the host this week over at Sunday Postcard Art and she has chosen Stars as her theme.

Here is my Stars Postcard...

The background was created using water colour paints and twinkling H2o's ( not used them in a while )

The background stamps are by Lemon Creations and I used a freebie stencil for the stars.

The main image is from an old set of stamps by Artistic Outpost.

Gothic Arches or Gothic Theme

It's Tuesday, time for another fun challenge over at Tag Tuesday

This time around it is teamie Michele's theme, do pop over and check out her tags.

For my tag I used some backing paper that had gothic arches already printed, which I pasted over a medium sized tag, added the sentiment and some paper dolls from Tim Holtz.

I hope you will drop by Tag Tuesday and join us for Michele's challenge...x

The theme Stamp People was chosen by Sabine.

I really enjoyed creating my postcard, a fun theme.x

Bunny or Hare

I wanted to post my tag earlier in the week, but I have had a nasty reaction to new pain medication and today is the best I have felt this week.

Over at Tag Tuesday, Pinky's theme of Bunny or Hare is underway, luckily for me I have a few bunny stamps and also one of the Hares, which is the one I have used for my tag.

Would love it if you could play along with us here at Tag Tuesday xx

In Memory of my Dad,

 Happy Sunday Everyone.

I am sharing my Wild West postcard with you today as it's my turn to host the challenge over at Sunday Postcard Art.

I chose this particular theme in memory of my father for two reasons, one, he absolutely loved the Wild West and two, today would have been his 94th Birthday.

I am pretty sure he had watched every " Western " movie that was ever made and I am pretty sure he read every western book too. I remember how I used to search charity shops and library sales in the hope I would find him a book he hadn't already read, bless him, he acted like he had won the lottery when I found him a book.

Happy Birthday Dad, love and miss you xx

You can find the postcard challenge over at Sunday Postcard Art

You can use any medium, however your postcard must be 4"x 6"

Asemic Writing

When I first heard of Asemic Writing, I really had no idea what it meant, so I googled it and was surprised that it is a type of script that many of us see.

Asemic Writing...is a wordless open semantic form of writing.

The word Asemic means having "no specific content"or "without the smallest unit of meaning."

So I thought I would use this as my theme this fortnight over at Tag Tuesday

I created my tags from some spare watercolour card scraps, and stamped the images over the paint.
Finally adding my Asemic script, which is fun to do.
The image on the top tag already has asemic script within the design.
I hope my tags will inspire you to pop over to Tag Tuesday and join in with our challenge.

Love is in the Air, Tag 2

I'm back again today with my 2nd "Love" Tag for the challenge over at Tag Tuesday.

I cut a tag from an offcut of water colour card, shame to waste it as I love the purple paint.

I hope you can find time to join us here at TAG TUESDAY.

Love is in the Air.

Over at Tag Tuesday our lovely Valerie has chosen the "Love" theme. Very fitting as it's Valetine's Day tomorrow...so I thought I had best get my tags, yes two of them, posted, one today, the other tomorrow.

I just love the sentiment on this tag, it's so very true.
This couple certainly look like they are very much in love, how wonderful.
Do pop over and join us if you can, we are here at TAG TUESDAY

Marie Antoinette No.3.

Here are my last Tags for Michele's theme over at Tag Tuesday.

Again I have used some scrap card that had been sprayed with inks to cut my tags and I also used Lynne Perrella stamps.

I didn't think the images needed colour, they looked good just stamped on the background with the edges inked.

I will probably laminate these 2 tags and use them as book marks as I really like them, they are small enough too at 4"x2"

I have enjoyed creating tags for Michele's theme, pushed me a bit to be honest until I found my stamps, lol.

Still time to play along if you wish, you can find us here at Tag Tuesday.

Marie Antoinette Tag, No.2.

Just dropping in to share a second tag I created for Michele's theme over at Tag Tuesday.

For this Tag I have used another Lynne Perrella stamp ( PaperArtsy ), but this time I cut the tag from some scrap card that had splashes of water colour paint. Would have been a shame to have thrown it in the bin.

The sentiment is from Lemon Creations.
There is still a few days left if you fancy playing along with us here at Tag Tuesday.

Marie Antoinette

It's been a while since I last posted any artwork, I really am falling behind with projects. In my defence though I have been feeling under the weather for a while, plus the wet weather has been depressive. I really don't like dark mornings, but hopefully soon Spring will be here along with better light...and weather.

Anyway on to my project this time around, it's a Tag for teamie Michele's theme over at Tag Tuesday

She has chosen Marie Antoinette, a theme I thought I would be stumped with, however after searching through my many stamps, I found a set by Lynne Perrella  ( for PaperArtsy ) Now I've had these stamps for absolute ages and I've not used them that often.

So I set to and made several tags, but will share them over the next couple of days.

Here is the first one I made, I kept it in black & white and edged the tag in black ink.

The mark on the cheek isn't an ink smudge, it's on the stamp, I assume as a blush.
I'm glad I inked the edge of the tag to define the outline, white against white just doesn't go in dull light...blame the rain!
Do pop over and check out our challenge, still time to play along here at Tag Tuesday.

Something New

Hello Everyone, Tag Tuesday still have almost a week left of their challenge.

It is teamie Pinkys choice of theme this time around and she has chosen "Something New"

I have used a Whimsical Steampunk digi image that I downloaded from Lemon Creations, in fact I downloaded a couple of sets of images just before christmas and until now haven't used any of the Steampunk ones.

I cut my tag from card that I had embossed using the cogs embossing folder, then coloured it with distress inks, added some MDF cogs etc, finally adding this fab image.

I hope you can find time to join us over at Tag Tuesday
