SPA. Add a frame or Border

Just sharing with you my postcard that I have made for Sunday Postcard Art.

The theme this week is to add a frame or border to your postcard.

As usual, I sat at my work desk and really had to think what I was going to create. So I rummaged through my stamps and took out one that I've not used in a while and decided to created my postcard around it.

I used a printed image of a frame, it was slightly smaller than my postcard, which has to be 6"x4". So I thought, thats no problem, I'll glue it to my card, lol.

To start I stamped the image twice on to card, then I cut my postcard from some brown card.

I trimmed the frame and cut a slit in it just above the number 5, that way I could slot my image in place before adhering it to my card.

Once assembled I coloured and cut the hat from the 2nd stamped image and added it to his head.

Using a different stamp I stamped and coloured the number and added it to the corner of the postcard.

Do pop over to the blog and join in if you can, also check out the awesome talent there.

Faery Garden Tag

Tag Tuesday design team member Michele has chosen the theme for this fortnights challenge, Faery Garden.

At first I wasn't sure if I would have to look for a digi stamp or maybe download some faeries, then I remembered a stamp I bought towards the end of 2020.

I created the background using inks and ink duster brushes. The floral stamps were then used to create a garden border, I also added some birds and the sentiment.
The faery girl I stamped on slightly thinner card and coloured her.
I shaped the wings slightly before adding her to my tag..isn't she adorable, this has to be one of my favourite stamps.
So if you fancy popping over and joining in with our challenge we would love to see you.

Sunday Postcard Art "Branches"

Hello, hope you are all keeping safe and well. It is certainly quiet everywhere, although saying that several people near me today have been busy doing repairs or gardening, so not that quiet here today.

I've popped in today to share my postcard that I created for Sunday Postcard Art.

The theme is "Branches" and this tree and stile is the nearest I could get to the theme by using my stamps.

I used inks with ink duster brushes to create the background before stamping the images and sentiment.
I added some green to the tree and shrubs as well as colouring the stile. Using marmalade I distressed the edges of the postcard.

Tag Tuesday, Numbers.

Good Morning Everyone..and very early it is too. Currently showing 2:55am here and I am wide awake!

So to keep myself occupied I thought I would share my Tag with you, its for the current challenge, chosen by Pinky, over at Tag Tuesday. The theme is Numbers.

The background of my tag was created using distress inks and a selection of stamps.
The Butterfly I stamped on a piece of thinner card and coloured it using water colour pencils.

I adhered the butterfly to my Tag, then added some glitter to highlight the wings, the photo really doesn't do it justice, the daylight here has been so dark recently.
I think you can just make out where the glitter is.
I hope you can come over and join us in our challenge, you can find us here at

January Blues

Hello again..a 2nd post from me today go, me,lol.

Just wanted to share with you my entry for the current challenge over at Sunday Postcard Art. I have to admit I've not played there for quite some time, but hopefully that will change as I become more settled in my crafting this year.

My postcard, measuring 4 x 6 inches was coloured using distress inks. I used this fab stamp, such a sad face which I  thought would be perfect for the January blues. I did tint the lips, but it doesn't show very well in the photo.
Do pop along to this lovely blog..some amazing works of art there.

Anything Goes with an optional colour twist

 Happy New year Everyone.

Over at More Mixed Media they have just launched the first challenge of 2021.

Do pop over and have a look, there is a prize and blog badges to win.

My design team project was this wooden off cut that was cut in to a house shape.

Once I sanded it down I gave it a base coat then painted it blue. once the blue paint was dry, I went over with a dry brush loaded with white paint to tone the blue down, it was a tad too bright, lol.

Using a selection of stamps I created a background and for the roof shape I stamped the rows of bingo numbers. Also stamped the birds on the wire. Using a black posca pen I added some dots.

Before adding the lovely ladies I loaded my brush with white paint, which was diluted very lightly with water, then I flicked the brush over the whole piece.
Once dry I added the ladies the word and the cord.

I do hope you can pop across to join in with our challenge, you can find us here at
