In Memory of my Dad,

 Happy Sunday Everyone.

I am sharing my Wild West postcard with you today as it's my turn to host the challenge over at Sunday Postcard Art.

I chose this particular theme in memory of my father for two reasons, one, he absolutely loved the Wild West and two, today would have been his 94th Birthday.

I am pretty sure he had watched every " Western " movie that was ever made and I am pretty sure he read every western book too. I remember how I used to search charity shops and library sales in the hope I would find him a book he hadn't already read, bless him, he acted like he had won the lottery when I found him a book.

Happy Birthday Dad, love and miss you xx

You can find the postcard challenge over at Sunday Postcard Art

You can use any medium, however your postcard must be 4"x 6"

Asemic Writing

When I first heard of Asemic Writing, I really had no idea what it meant, so I googled it and was surprised that it is a type of script that many of us see.

Asemic Writing...is a wordless open semantic form of writing.

The word Asemic means having "no specific content"or "without the smallest unit of meaning."

So I thought I would use this as my theme this fortnight over at Tag Tuesday

I created my tags from some spare watercolour card scraps, and stamped the images over the paint.
Finally adding my Asemic script, which is fun to do.
The image on the top tag already has asemic script within the design.
I hope my tags will inspire you to pop over to Tag Tuesday and join in with our challenge.

Love is in the Air, Tag 2

I'm back again today with my 2nd "Love" Tag for the challenge over at Tag Tuesday.

I cut a tag from an offcut of water colour card, shame to waste it as I love the purple paint.

I hope you can find time to join us here at TAG TUESDAY.

Love is in the Air.

Over at Tag Tuesday our lovely Valerie has chosen the "Love" theme. Very fitting as it's Valetine's Day tomorrow...so I thought I had best get my tags, yes two of them, posted, one today, the other tomorrow.

I just love the sentiment on this tag, it's so very true.
This couple certainly look like they are very much in love, how wonderful.
Do pop over and join us if you can, we are here at TAG TUESDAY

Marie Antoinette No.3.

Here are my last Tags for Michele's theme over at Tag Tuesday.

Again I have used some scrap card that had been sprayed with inks to cut my tags and I also used Lynne Perrella stamps.

I didn't think the images needed colour, they looked good just stamped on the background with the edges inked.

I will probably laminate these 2 tags and use them as book marks as I really like them, they are small enough too at 4"x2"

I have enjoyed creating tags for Michele's theme, pushed me a bit to be honest until I found my stamps, lol.

Still time to play along if you wish, you can find us here at Tag Tuesday.

Marie Antoinette Tag, No.2.

Just dropping in to share a second tag I created for Michele's theme over at Tag Tuesday.

For this Tag I have used another Lynne Perrella stamp ( PaperArtsy ), but this time I cut the tag from some scrap card that had splashes of water colour paint. Would have been a shame to have thrown it in the bin.

The sentiment is from Lemon Creations.
There is still a few days left if you fancy playing along with us here at Tag Tuesday.

Marie Antoinette

It's been a while since I last posted any artwork, I really am falling behind with projects. In my defence though I have been feeling under the weather for a while, plus the wet weather has been depressive. I really don't like dark mornings, but hopefully soon Spring will be here along with better light...and weather.

Anyway on to my project this time around, it's a Tag for teamie Michele's theme over at Tag Tuesday

She has chosen Marie Antoinette, a theme I thought I would be stumped with, however after searching through my many stamps, I found a set by Lynne Perrella  ( for PaperArtsy ) Now I've had these stamps for absolute ages and I've not used them that often.

So I set to and made several tags, but will share them over the next couple of days.

Here is the first one I made, I kept it in black & white and edged the tag in black ink.

The mark on the cheek isn't an ink smudge, it's on the stamp, I assume as a blush.
I'm glad I inked the edge of the tag to define the outline, white against white just doesn't go in dull light...blame the rain!
Do pop over and check out our challenge, still time to play along here at Tag Tuesday.
