Fungi Tag

I am so late posting my Fungi/Mushroom Tag for Tag Tuesday Everything recently hasn't gone to plan, so I am desperately trying to "catch up".
The theme for the tag challenge was chosen by fellow teamie Wendy...and it was a challenge for me,lol.

The base of my tag was coloured with oxide inks..then I used random stamps to create a back ground. The images were freebies that I collected over the years..
The little flower fairy/elf is minus the wings and I sat him on the toadstool.

Love is....

Today I am sharing my design project for More Mixed Media
I used some card that I embossed to cover this fab little wooden house shape..colouring it with distress inks. The sides were painted with red acrylic paint.

I painted the wooden heart in deep red and once it was completely dry I went over it with crackle glaze.

I found a set of wings in my stash..with them I just used the non crackle glaze and once they and the heart was dry I added them to the house.
Finally adding the quote....
Why not come over and join in with our challenge this month..anything Mixed Media goes, with an optional colour twist, which is Red.

Heart Tag

The sun is shining here this morning, but it is bitterly cold...roll on the Spring.
I've popped in this morning to share my "Heart Tag" that I made for the challenge over at Tag Tuesday
The theme was chosen by teamie Michele.

My tag was literally made from stuff I had laying around on my craft table.
The tag was die cut from some spare card that was painted and smeared with paints.I rubber stamped over that. The heart was from a project I created last year, but I had accidentally dropped and some of the attachments came off. The measuring tape was stamped on paper and was an off-cut from another project.

Reversed Canvas

Yay...Rhedd's Creative Spirit is back with their first challenge for 2019.
As always it is anything goes..but must be Altered Art, definitely no papercrafted items.
My project this month is a 5"x 5" (12.5 x 12.5cms) canvas that I reversed.

I reversed the canvas and sanded the inside edges of the frame, painted it all over with acrylic paint.

I also painted a square inside the canvas and attached a brass steampunk style clock.
I rubber stamped Dream and a Code Number then used some bronze guilding wax and rubbed that in to some areas of the frame.

Next I added the embellishments that I had previously painted, crackled etc.
Once all the elements were glued in place I added the Tim Holts ancestor image.
To finish I added finally some "rust "patina for effect.

I do hope you drop by Rhedd's and take part in our challenge...you can find us here at
