Sassy Girl

I chose this image from http://buysassystudiodesigns.blogspot.co.uk/ as they are sponsoring this fortnights challenge over at http://craftymesschallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/. It was my turn to choose the theme and I chose "Ribbons and Lace"...thinking that most crafters will have those items readily available in their stash, so hopefully there will be a lot of entries this coming fortnight.
I used a 5"x5" white card, then matted and layered it with plain and patterned papers from my stash. For the Sassy image I used watercolour pencils. The lace which is quite wide, but so pretty, the ribbon and flower are all from my stash. I'm pleased with the finished card, as yellow isn't a colour I use very often.

For the Girls.

It's just started raining, nothing new for us....it looks like I might not be going to my daughter's BBQ though. Let's hope by the time the schools have their summer break the weather will be as it should be for this time of the year.
I thought I would share a couple of Atcs I have made...the theme was For the Girls. Couldn't resist using up these vintage images that I've had hanging around for ages. There were a freebie, but for the life of me I can't remember who they are from...unfortunately I deleted the sheet from my photo library....but whoever they are from a Big Thank You....
Time for a coffee and get some ironing done...oh this busy life I lead...not,lol.

Film Stars

Well,we don't seem to be getting much of a summer....not that I mind as I prefer the cooler months. It's all this horrible rain I can't stand!
On to my Atc...the beautiful and very talented actress Bette Davis and actor William Powell. This atc I made for our daily challenge at Craftymess over on facebook. The theme was set by Rebecca, one of our members, she chose the colours, blue, black and brown along with ribbon and a button.
My button is years old, it's from my mum's old button tin,I had to cut the shank off the back....there are some buttons in that tin that I would never use because they are so lovely.
Thanks for dropping by and leaving me such lovely comments....xx

(Hi Jenny,hope all is well...xx)

Oriental Atc (DT project)

As one of the DT over at  Craftymess Challenge Blog  we were given a selection of images to use from Marie at  http://mycraftmarket.blogspot.co.uk/....she is sponsoring our challenge this fortnight. The winner will receive this image as well as a Beach Hut image. Pop along to  http://craftymesschallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/  and see what our talented team have done with their choice of images, you will be surprised! The theme was to "Use Paint" this theme was  chosen by one of our teamies, Michelle. I used my LuminArt paints for the parasol and flowers, the background I printed and added glitter to the buds on the end of the branches. At the last minute I decided to add the coin. I'm not ashamed to admit I was a bit out of my comfort zone on this challenge....think my mojo took a hike, lol.

On their Travels

I so love this stamp,I had this one and a few others as part of my birthday present from my dad just before he passed away in February It's become one of my favourites and just perfect for this Travel theme. I used some backing papers my friend gave me a few weeks ago, said she couldn't use them, lucky for me.After stamping the image on a separate piece of  paper,I shaded parts of the stamp then cut it out and added it to the atc.

All Things Purple

Just a quick atc I made for the Craftymess Daily Challenge. The theme was to have 3 paper folds and lace.So I found this super image and decided that purple would be my colour theme, not a colour I use very much. The paper folds are to the left side of the atc. The lace was originally cream, so I dragged it through a distress ink pad and it came up a treat, lol.

Fantasy?

Fantasy....this is the theme for our current challenge over at http://craftymesschallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/  We teamies were given a choice of 4 digi images to use.I chose this particular image as it was the only one that I felt I could work with. Fortunately for me my friend had given me some pieces of embossed card,so I used the bubble effect, smudged that with green, blue and yellow distress inks to create a background.I added the birdhouse and fencing, all coloured with distress inks. For the Fantasy Cow,I actually used water colour pencils. Then I matted and layered up the card, finally adding a yellow flower and ribbon.
If you enjoy a challenge, why not pop over to our blog, the theme is "Fantasy",but running along beside it is "Anything Goes"....you never know,if you win,you could be our guest on our design team for one of our challenges.
