A smaller Tag this time...

Do you have those days, when you seem to be incredibly busy, but when you take a moment and look at what you have done, it never looks very much...well I've a had a a few days like that, lol.

I wanted to get another Tag made for Tag Tuesday, using another one Lynne Perrella stamps

Although this one hasn't taken me long to do, it was a case of finding the time!

Issues with my internet and going in to chat with my Service Provider operators took absolutely hours and to be honest the issue still hasn't been resolved to my liking.

A smaller tag, with the background created with oxide inks...

There's still time to enter the challenge here at Tag Tuesday

Favourite Animal at SPA.

It's Sunday, time for another great challenge over at Sunday Postcard Art

Deann has chosen the theme and it's "Your Favourite Animal"

I was torn between 2 of my favourites, Cats and Whales. I have always been more of a cat person, right from a young age there has always been a cat or two in the house...so I designed my postcard around a cat, lucky for me I had a great stamp in my stash.

This image so reminds me of my ginger cat Henry, named after my dad, we had him for 18yrs.

We did get another ginger cat after about a year, we called him Mills. When I moved in to a rented property, no pets were allowed, so my dad took him on and they lived together for many years, a good companion for my dad.

Anything Goes Tag

I was searching through my many stamps and stumbled upon a couple of sets from Paperartsy, by Lynne Perrella.

I have to be honest I had completely forgotten that I had them as they were right at the back of the drawer.

Seeing as I found them I decided on using some stamps from one set for the challenge over at Tag Tuesday.

Their challenge runs every 2 weeks and this week, the theme Anything Goes, was chosen by Valerie.

Here is my Tag...

I'm really pleased that I found my stamps, so much so I might get a second one made for Valerie's theme.

Hobbies/Pastimes

I was delighted to be asked to host Sunday Postcard Art challenge this week.

My theme is Hobbies/Pastimes and I chose Sewing/Dressmaking.

I remember my mother used to sew a lot in her spare time. My Auntie too, she loved making aprons, and most females in the family had one every Christmas.

My mother passed her sewing kills on to me, I used to spend hours making anything from bedding to clothes, I found it really relaxing.

Sadly I don't do so much now, the last time I got my sewing machine out was to make some face masks.

To be fair though, there are so many Hobbies/Pastimes to chose from, so if you fancy joining us this week, do pop over to Sunday Postcard Art and show us your postcard.

Busy Bees

It's Wendy's turn over at Tag Tuesday to chose the theme for our current challenge...and she has chosen Bees

I have searched through my stamps because I know I have a medium sized Bee Stamp. Do you think I could find it..No!!!!

So I had to use a smaller stamp, but I think it's in better proportion for my sunflowers.

I cut my tag from some spare card that was left over from some I coloured with Oxide inks, I created a light background using ink and a stencil, then stamped some script and the honeycomb.

I stamped the flowers and re stamped them on some spare card, along with the bees.

The images were all coloured and added to the Tag.

This is my postcard....

I must admit, I did have fun creating my card with this fab little mermaid, at one point I did think I would struggle though. So glad I pushed myself to find all the extras to go with the image.

Easter Postcard

It's sunday, so time for this weeks challenge over at Sunday Postcard Art.

Their challenges run weekly, so always plenty of variety on the themes.

The Easter theme had me scratching my head, never one for festive type creations, I even struggle making a birthday card!

Also Easter isn't something I tend to celebrate now I am of an older age, ok when my kiddies were small and we had all the fun of Easter Egg Hunts and lots of eggs, lol.

So here is my Postcard this week....

It's quite vintage in style and although some of the images I printed are free, I found the specialist paper a tiny bit thick compared to what I would use normally. I took a chance as what I usually use was out of stock...and so was I.

Mostly Monochrome

Tag Tuesday is almost at the end of it's current challenge, so I have just managed to get in with a tag.

The theme, chosen by Michele is "Mostly Monochrome"

Such a great theme, but my tag really doesn't do it justice.

The lighting isn't so good and no matter what I used to put the tag on, it just didn't compliment the different shades of greens that I have used. The background I rested the tag on, would you believe, was white, but shows up blue! It is so irritating when that happens.

I stamped the image in green archival ink on a white round tag, then painted the background in very light green. The clocks were also painted using a selection of greens.
The challenge ends on monday , so a few days left if you want to join in.
You can find it here at Tag Tuesday
