Tag # 64 Earthtones

I'm feeling a bit sad....I have decided to close down my Tag Challenge Blog at Go Tag Thursday.
There just isn't enough interest to keep it going any longer.
So Tag # 64 is the last challenge and the theme is Earthtones.
Here is my tag..I love the colours of Autumn and I really enjoyed creating this tag..I even added a little bit of sparkle on the leaves...

Thank you for dropping by my blog...if you fancy entering the last challenge you can find it here at

Why,this clock is exactly 2 days slow....

I am very honoured to have been invited to be a Guest Designer over at Try It on Tuesday.
The remit was Clock / Watch...and I had just the stamp to fit the bill.

I had a look in my stash to find something suitable that would show the stamp up and something I could hang..so I chose this plaque, it was the perfect size too.
I sanded it down a little then painted it to seal the wood in gesso...once dry I added 2 coats of white acrylic paint, then left it to dry over night.

I stamped the image of the Mad Hatter  and the sentiment (from the Alice stamp set by Indigoblu) on to the plaque and heat dried the ink..although the ink is waterproof  I wasn't going to risk smudges when I coloured the image in.
Once everything was completely dry I sprayed the plaque with Seal and Shine from Crafter's companion, then I added the clock and 2 red bows.
I hope you will pop over to the blog and join in with the challenge, you can find it here at

Tag..Steampunk-ish

I'm trying to get myself up to date and a little ahead of myself for my own blog challenges... (Rhedd's Creative Spirit & Go Tag Thursday ) and some challenges I usually enter, because I will be away on a break from 2nd Oct for a week..
So yesterday I managed to get a few things done and one of them was my Steampunk themed Tag for the challenge at Tag Tuesday

I used a cream tag and stamped some ink blots all over it in Fosslised Amber distress ink
Using my gorgeous collage stamp by Le Blanche I stamped the main image, shading in the face and hair. Then using random stamps from my stash I added more images in brown ink and again used the distress ink I used for the ink blots.
From some scrap card that I had inked up I stamped the word and mounted that on some card, also stamped a hand which I coloured lightly.
I distressed the edges of the card in Spiced Marmalade distress ink and then added the embellishments and word......

Friendship Tag

I love this stamp and when I saw the theme over at Try It On Tuesday which is "Friendship" it was the perfect excuse to use it again.

I created the the tag using a piece of art card that I had used to try out some paints...I went over the Tag with some background stamps.
I layer up some hessian, cheesecloth and corrugated card, adhered it all to the tag then whipped around one end with some raffia.
I stamped and painted the image and mounted that on some scrap card that had been trimmed off from another project....to finish I added a few daisies.

ooh la la..Paris

It's so nice being back in blogland, after being without my laptop for a while...I couldn't do the same things on my tablet, so just had to be patient while my computer guy worked his magic.
To be honest I thought I would lose a lot of my data and files etc, but he saved everything..however now I am searching as it has all been stored in different places, my photos files for crafting have been changed too.
I created a tag for the challenge over at Tag Tuesday the theme there is Paris

I used backing paper for the background on my tag and then stamped the post mark on it, I also stamped the ooh la la script.
The couple is a fab stamp that I have had for ages..the stamp has part of a building in front of the lady, but I trimmed that away, I coloured her scarf and then added the image to the tag.
To finish I used cream lace and a metal flower embellishment.

Tag It Tag...

I was so miserable without my laptop...all well and good trying to work from my Tablet, but there was so much I couldn't do....even commenting was difficult. Lucky for me for me my computer man has got me back up and running again.
This fortnights challenge has just started over at
                                  Go Tag Thursday
The theme is Tag It so a Tag on your tag must be visible...more than one of you want..I added 2 to my Tag.
You can make any size Tag and use any medium, just stay in theme....

Steampunk Style Tag for MMM.....

Check out this months challenge over at
More Mixed Media
Their challenge is always Anything Goes and if you want to you can also use their colour option and this month the colour is Brown
My project this month as a member of the design team is a Steampunk style Tag...using brown ink.

I created the base of my tag using distress inks and a selection of stamps. I stamped the image of the man and heated embossed the image on some spare card..lightly coloured it then cut it out and added him to my tag.
I coloured some light weight card that I dry embossed with a cogs folder, coloured that with distress ink and tore off a strip and added it under the image. I also stamped and added a label.
To finish the tag I added the cogs and lens and then the chain with the clock.

Do pop over and take a look at the challenge as well as the designs team projects...if you enter the challenge you have the chance of some fabulous papers to choose from for your prize should you win...

Artist Trading Block & Drift Wood

Septembers Challenge has just started over at
  Rhedd's Creative Spirit
I was wondering how I could use up some driftwood and one of my many chunky wooden artist trading blocks for my design team project....and this is what I came up with....

I have prepared a picture tutorial that will be posted to Rhedd's Creative Spirit on 15th October, so I do hope you will drop by and take a look...

Painted Dress Form.

Pop on over to Altered Eclectics...they have just launched their challenge for September.
My design team project for them this month is an Altered Dress form.

The dress form was given to me by my best friend, she said I would know what to do with it..lol.
I gessoed the form then gave it 2 coats of Docrafts Pistachio acrylic paint.
Once dry I dressed it and then created some associated items to add to the base..
Hope to see you over at the challenge...it's HERE
