Good News!

I've been itching to show you all my DT work for our new challenge blog. The 1st Challenge was launched today at     http://crafty-emblies.blogspot.co.uk/
Do pop over and have a look and maybe enter the challenge.
I am very privileged to have been invited by the owner of the blog to be part of her new Design Team. Judie and hubby Peter have an online shop of the most gorgeous Wooden Embellishments, a new venture for them,so I wish them all the very best for their new business.
As you can see,I have used a 3" wooden cube from my stash, which I painted with cream emulsion paint. As the theme for the first challenge was chosen by me,"Flora & Fauna" I decorated my cube with some lovely glittery papers, adding distress inks along all the edges to age it a bit. I then added 2 brass door hooks to the top of the cube, then added the leaves on all sides.I decided to leave them in their natural form to tie in with the theme. Finally adding that gorgeous little wooden bird using silicone. While that was drying I made a matching Atc (well you all know how much I love making atcs, lol) which then slots in between the brass hooks.
I must say I absolutely enjoyed working with Crafty-Emblies products (link to shop in my side bar)  Judie and Peter make and design all their own products and they make them on site, they are coming up with different designs all the time and can help you if there is something special you would like made.Do pop over to their shop and have a look, they are well within pocket money budgets.

Birds

Over at  http://craftymesschallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/ there is a new challenge up for the next 2wks.The theme is "Birds" which was chosen by fellow teamie Moira. The DT were given some digi images to work with from our sponsor for this challenge  http://robynsfetish.com/shop/ who are offering 5 of their digi images to the winner of our challenge.
This is the card I made using my chosen image, I printed it off several times so I could decoupage it. Would love to see you enter the challenge....do pop along and have a look.

Something Different

I was rummaging in one of my crafting cupboards and came across a packet of these fabulous Tando Arches. I had forgotten all about them to be honest. My daughter tells me I have too much crafting stuff and that's why I forget what I have got....I think she's right, but wouldn't admit it,we crafters can never have too much stuff can we.
On to my arch, all I did for this one is dab it with distress inks, left it to dry, then I added the image to the centre section. The stamp is new,it's by Prima called Fairy Bell and it cost an amazing £1:90. I used the outer edges of the stamp so I could get both the images in, then lightly shaded a couple of areas with my whisper pens to lift the image a bit.

(Hi Jenny...hope you are well...xx)

All Aboard!

I thought I would share my distressed Vintage book cover with you. First I gessoed the cover, then coloured it with distress inks, using some sequin waste I added random patches of different colours. The frame is recyled from a card I had from a friend, too good to waste. I lightly sanded it down and rubbed it over with Tea Dye distress ink.The image is from Crafty individuals, the stamps are from Blockhead,Steampunk. The fabulous cogs are from a new company http://crafty-emblies.weebly.com/  To complete the distressed look I lightly sanded some of the edges of the book and then dabbed over some more tea dye ink. Hope you like it.

The Sun

Crikey, where has the time gone this week, you wouldn't know it's supposed to be summer time...not very warm is it.
On to my Atc, this is one I made as my DT project over at http://craftymesschallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/. Do pop over and have a look as this fortnight we shall be choosing 2 winners and there are 2 fabby prizes up for grabs. The theme this week was chosen by my fellow teamie Fiona, which is "To  use a Sun or Moon" in your creation. So out came my distress inks,H2o's,and my Inkylicsious stamps for the sentiment and Daises, the bird stamp is from my stash. The sun I made by pressing the lid of my pritt stick in to the distress ink pad and then pressing it on to  the card.

Pink Cupid

Something different for me to post today...lol. I made this Twinchie as my entry to Lisa's Weekly Challenge over in the Craftymess Group on Facebook. She set the theme as "Pink and Cute"...so I couldn't resist using this cupid stamp. All the stamps used are from the same set and I am ashamed to say I do not know who they are made by as I  lost the packaging ages ago. Fabulous little set of stamps though.
