Black,White & Red

Listening to the radio this morning and the weather forecast has mentioned that it has been snowing about an hours drive from here..I couldn't believe it as I have the sun shining through my windows. It looks lovely outside to be honest, no sign of any snow here!
So this morning Tag Tuesday have just posted this fortnights challenge. The theme chosen by teamie Wendy is...Black, White and Red
I have kept my tag quite simple, a stamped image on a white tag, adding red for the mouth and edges of the tag.

Please come on over and join in with the challenge, you can enter as many  times as you wish.

A little bit of Frost.

It's silly o'clock for me here this morning, I'm not usually up very early, but my sleep pattern is all over the place again, thanks to Fibromyalgia..it's an absolute beast at times.
Tag Tuesday have just launched their fortnightly challenge  ( the last 2 weeks have just flown by )
The theme this time around is Winter Scenes and has been chosen by teamie Michele.

I used water colour paint to shade the sky, although the photo really doesn't show it that well. The bad weather here makes everything so dark, almost impossible to get a good light.
I stamped the trees twice by using the masking method, then I coloured the tree trunks and shaded the tufts of grass.
The sentiment was then stamped and once dry I went over with some stickles glitter glue to make it look a bit frosty.
To finish I distressed the edges of the tag with ink.
I hope you can pop along and join in with the challenge, you can find us here at

"Blue" Artist Trading Coins.

Good Morning from a cloudy place in Devon...I do like the cooler months of the year,I just wish they were brighter, lol.
Rain is forecast for next week, so a good excuse to lock myself away in my craft room!
So on to my post for today..
More Mixed Media have just launched their first challenge for 2020.
As always anything mixed media goes, but you have the option of using a colour each month, and  January's colour is BLUE

For my design team project I have created 3 Artist Trading Coins. The background was coloured using oxide inks.

The stamps, from my stash, are all vintage themed and fitted perfectly on the coins.
I coloured the images with water colour pencils.

To finish them I distressed the edges with blue inks and then I sprayed them with a sealer, although the photo doesn't pick up the glossy finish.

Do pop over if you can and join in with our challenge, there is a prize on offer, also badges for other selected entries.
You can find us here at More Mixed Media

I am entering my Atc Coins in to these great challenges....

Let's Celebrate

Tag Tuesday have their first challenge for 2020...and the theme, chosen by our newest design team member Pinky, is Celebrations.
Such a great theme as it covers such a wide variety of celebrations.
For my Tag I have used a little used stamp of mine, I just love the facial expressions, lol.

I decided to paint the images with water colour paints, although the photo doesn't really show the facial and hair colour as it should, poor lighting here on a cloudy day.
I added some glitter to the man's hat and the bobble on the lady's hat and then added the sentiment.
This so reminds me of going to a party a few years ago, when I didn't really want to go,but felt obliged to, needless to say I didn't stay long, lol.
Do pop over and join us if you can, we are here at...

Shabby Chic...or Vintage

I was really undecided what theme to chose for my design team project over at Tag Tuesday I like Shabby Chic, but I'm not really that good with the theme and I also love Vintage. So I decided to go with both, lol.

For my Shabby Chic tag I cut a large tag and spritzed it with pink ink, once dry I  very lightly stamped some script over the tag in brown ink.
I found the image of this gorgeous lady in my stash and just had to use her.
I added some fancy lace along the bottom edge, then added some fabric and over that I added some lovely beaded and sequined lace, taking it all around the image.
To finish I added a gorgeous flower and a bow.

For my Vintage tag, which I really hadn't intended to be male themed, it kind of just went that way when I was sorting through some stamps to use. The background on the tag was coloured using Distress Oxides inks.
The stamped train, ticket, gentleman and label were all from the same stamp set by Artistic Outpost.

The Tag challenge starts today and it would be great if you could come along and join us. You can go with Shabby Chic or Vintage..or both, it's up to you.

Design team member Joan chose the theme for the current Tag challenge over at Tag Tuesday and it's White Christmas.
So I am sharing another one of my tags.

There is still time left to join in with our challenge.

Last Challenge for 2019

It's hard to believe that we are almost at the end of 2019 and More Mixed Media have just launched their final challenge for this year.
As always it in anything mixed media, but with an optional colour twist. The colour this month is "White"
I have been busy making a selection of gift Tags and chose this one to showcase..I just love this stamp of the little people.

The tag itself I left white and rubber stamped the trees. I did add some glitter to the tree, but it doesn't really show up, so I cropped a section and darkened the photo to show the glitter is actually there...lol

I've also added a close up of the little people too...

Do pop over and join in with our challenge...there is a prize for our winner, also the chance to be in our Top 5 and a badges for your blog.
