Buttercups

The theme this sunday over at Sunday Postcard Art is Wildflowers, chosen by Peggy.

I rummaged through my stash and found a lovely Buttercup stamp, just what I needed as Buttercups are standing out well on the lawns and hedgerows at the moment, with the bees busy collecting the pollen on their little legs, lovely to see after the rain we have been having recently.

I'm not sure I've done this lovely stamp justice with my watercolour paints, doesn't help that the postcard is white, but looks grey...who would have thought that white has so many shades, lol.

So pretty, Sandie. Our backyard is filled with them now, but ours are pink and more like a cup. We call them buttercups but they're really a variety of evening primrose. Kids stick their noses in the center to get a yellow nose - ack, all that pollen, what were we thinking back in the day? haha xoxo
