Christmas Holiday

 Hello Everyone, again I'm falling behind with my crafting. I have felt under the weather for a few days, probably due to the sudden drop in temperature a few days ago, at least now it's milder, even though we have had some very heavy rain.

Anyway, enough of that, I'm here today with my Tag for Michele's theme over at Tag Tuesday

She has chosen a Christmas Holiday theme.

I have several christmassy stamps, but this one I thought would be perfect for people travelling home for their Christmas Holidays.

I have kept the tag simple and added some glitter for a snow effect. 

Always difficult to photograph white on white, so it all looks greyish,lol.

To be fair, the weather has been so dark, and no matter where I took the photo, the results were pretty poor.

Trees, any trees.

 I have finally got around to getting my tag blogged for the challenge over at Tag Tuesday

It was Pinky's turn to choose the theme, so it was a good opportunity to use my Reindeer Stamp from Inkylicious.

I love this stamp, the way the trees are on it's body, a perfect choice for my tag.

The photo doesn't do the tag justice as I sprinkled glitter on it's antlers and back...plus the daylight recently has been so dark.

The challenge is still ongoing, ends next monday night, so still time to play along.

Winter has arrived...

 Hello Everyone, time to share another Atc with you today.

Atc's Around the World have just launched their last challenge for 2022 and the theme is Winter.

I have used glitter , however the camera and lighting hasn't really shown it up very well.

A Saying or Quote.

 Its so dark here this morning, pouring with rain too, so not sure if I will bother going out today!

Tag Tuesday have just started their challenge for the next 2wks.

Teamie Wendy has chosen the theme this time around, which is add a saying or quote to your  tag.

There are so may to be found on the internet, as well as rubber stamps and digital down loads.

For my Tag I have used my Cowgirl set of stamps, the base for my tag was cut from some card I dyed with leaves. The experiment on the card wasn't a great success, the card being too thick, but it still makes for good backgrounds. I flicked the tag with an inky spray before adding the images.

 Hello Everyone, so here I am again, this time to share another Atc with you. As I mentioned previously I am on 2 designs teams for Atc Challenge Blogs. I was delighted to be accepted for one blog, I was even more delighted when I was offered a place on the design team for the sister blog.

I inked up the background of my Atc, and then stamped the image and script.

I lightly coloured the girl.

I really like this stamp, it is so useful for so many emotions.

Today she is happy and enjoying life.

ATCS WITH HEART

Rainy Weather

 Good Morning Everyone, hope you are all well.

I have some news, I am on the design team for this fabulous Atc (Artist Trading Cards) blog called Atcs Around the World.

I have always enjoyed creating small works of art, however I kind of lost interest for a while.

Then I came across 2 blogs that were for Atc Challenges, I applied to be on the team of one blog and Connie the owner offered me a place with the 2nd blog, I was delighted so I accepted.

Challenge 95 is now underway at Atcs Around The World and the theme is Rainy Weather.

This is my Atc, I used a stencil for the background and a set of stamps from Inkylicious.

Sorry about the pinky tinge to the photo, not quite sure why it's like that, I did take the photo late in the day yesterday, so lost the best of the light.

Atcs Around the World

Tags...Anything Goes

 Time again for another challenge over at Tag Tuesday. The last 2wks seemed to have flown by, edging nearer and nearer to Christmas, ho, ho, ho.

It was my turn to chose the theme this time around and I decided to go with Anything Goes, I quite often like a free for all theme, just to see what people create when they don't have to follow a theme.

I have made 2 Tags, the first is one that I covered in some Rice Papers I made last week using napkins,tissues,paints,tea,coffee,water and diluted pva glue, all good messy fun.

The rice paper was made from a napkin, once I covered the tag with it I randomly stamped some numbers and inks blots on it to add more interest to the base.

I used washi tape so I could sit one of the Tim Holtz figures on and then added the words. This tag really is a Limited Edition as it's the first try of using my home made rice paper.

For my second Tag I used book paper to cover the tag and added some vintage lace to the bottom edge.

I mounted one of Tim Holtz's photo booth picture of this pretty girl and added her to my tag.

I found a strip of muslin which I tied around the tag and then added the flowers...which, would you believe, are an old pair of earrings that I found in a charity shop. I just snipped the backs off.

I love that they are chipped from being worn so much, just adds a little more vintage to the tag.

Postcard Art

 Just dropped in the share my postcard.

I'm entering it in to the challenge over at Sunday Postcard Art where the theme this week is Vintage

I cut my postcard to size 4"x6" and layered up some of my handmade rice paper. I am delighted with the result.

Next I added some vintage postage stamps and the images of the 2 girls as well as the pattern number.

The images were from an old dress making pattern wallet, I thought they would look perfect against my background.

Here are the rice papers I  made, I shall definitely be making some more that's for sure!

Halloween Atc

 Those that remember know that I have always liked creating Artist Trading Cards.

Over the years I have been in several groups and been involved in a lot of swaps.

I came across this Atc Challenge Blog a while back, even entered a couple of times and have decided that I will play along on a regular basis.

This month their theme is Halloween. So I rooted through my stash and created this Atc.

I started with a yellow atc and mounted some halloween paper on it. The label was rubber stamped on to some orange card and layered up on white and black card.

The face was stamped and then coloured, the photo doesn't really show how green the eyes are!

I decided to add the spider at the last minute,lol.

Autumn Colours

 Good  Morning, hope everyone is tickety boo today.

I'm posting my 2 Tags to inspire folk to join in with the current challenge over at Tag Tuesday. 

The theme, chosen by our lovely Valerie is Autumn Colours, unfortunately Valerie has been quite poorly and was in hospital. She is at home now resting and getting better, so for now I'm helping with the challenge blog.

On both Tags I have created an autumnal background using distress inks, then stamping over once the inks were dry.

Something Spooky....

 Happy Saturday Folks, looking like a lovely day from where I am sitting, so I am going to pop out for a few hours, but wanted to post my Tag before I do.

Using book pages again..

 Here as promised is my 2nd Tag that I created for Pinky's theme over at Tag Tuesday

I have used a book page for the backing and stamped over it with a long lost stamp, I found it among some backing papers I had in a box when I was sorting through my craft stuff recently. I have no idea how it got in there,lol.

I coloured in the boy and his fish...sorry it's not the best photo, I took about 6 and each one looked slightly blurry.

Book Paper Tag

 Over at Tag Tuesday teamie Pinky has chosen Book Print for her theme.

Personally I love using book pages, or newspapers for layering up backing on all sorts of projects, so I have made 2 Tags this time around.

The first of which I will post today. 

Here I have use a scrap of book paper over some vintage style backing paper, adding the character and playing cards from Alice in Wonderland.

Wendy chose Roses

 Over at Tag Tuesday, our very own Wendy has chosen Roses as her theme.

Now I should have posted my tag a few days ago, but this Little Lady arrived, my great grand daughter Nevaeh Sharron.

Here is my Tag for Wendy's theme....

I had some spare scraps of Roses backing paper that I used for this tag, then I added the extra labels and notelets etc. Finishing the tag with some paper roses and a bow.

Black & White, with a tiny spot of colour

 Hello, I'm back again, this time I am showcasing the Tags I have made for our challenge over at Tag Tuesday

I am hosting the challenge this time around and chose the theme as Black & White, with a tiny spot of colour.

My first tag is the famous Betty Grable ( one of my treasured stamps) wearing her high heel shoes that I colored red

My second Tag is another great stamp and for the colour on this one I stamped the postmark on some spare card and coloured it blue, then added it to my tag using sticky pads.

I have to apologise for the quality of the photos, white on white never makes a good photo and using cream card behind my Tag didn't help it either.

I hope it doesn't put you off entering our challenge.lol.

Spots and Stripes

 Hi Everyone, I am so late in posting my Tag for Valerie's theme over at Tag Tuesday.

I was convinced I had already blogged it, crazy or what, can't even excuse myself for being busy because I haven't!

As the saying goes, better late than never,lol.

I enjoyed making this Tag and thought the 2 little girls would look cute on it. I did colour their dresses though.

Newsprint Postcard

I was thrilled to be asked to host this sunday's challenge over at Sunday Post Card Art.

Sadly I've not been a regular there recently due to the issues with my hands, which has reduced the amount of crafting I can do. Fortunately I have had one operation on my left hand and now waiting to get the right hand done.

Newsprint is my theme.

I have a few newspapers in my stash, mainly because I no longer buy them, no need to when there are so many news channels out there.

I have used the news print for my background.

Christmas in July

 Just dropping by with my tag that I made for Pinky's theme over at Tag Tuesday.

We are in a massive heatwave at the moment and just thinking of the wintery weather and the snow is making me feel cooler.

I apologise for the short post, this morning I had an operation on my left hand, fortunately the local anesthetic is still working.

Holiday/Travel Tags.

 Well, its that time of the year isn't it.

 Time for Holidays and Travel! 

The schools will be closing up for the summer break and many folk will be off on their Summer Holidays, saying that, the little town I live in is almost bursting with holidaymakers already.

Unfortunately I will not be having a summer holiday as I have an operation due on my hand very soon, but in late August I do have a few days out planned.

So here are my Tags

Use Die Cuts

 Good Morning Folks, sorry I've not been very active recently. I've not been feeling well what with one thing then another, now I am on a course of antibiotics, so very little in the way of crafting has been done for weeks.

I am keeping up to date with our challenges every 2 weeks at Tag Tuesday.

The current theme has been chosen by our lovely blog owner Valerie, she has chosen to "use diecuts"

This is my Tag, I have used several die cuts, the house shape, the frame, birds, mini heart and mini flowers.

The background is backing paper that has a few yellow splashes on it, just seemed perfect for my needs, as I wanted to keep the Tag mainly monochrome.

Not one, but two pockets.

 I've not been around on a regular basis recently. I've been having a couple of health issues and haven't had much interest in very much at all recently.

I did manage to get in towards the end of Michele's challenge just over a week ago, this time around it is teamie Wendy's theme.

Wendy's theme is to add or create a pocket on your tag over at Tag Tuesday.

I used a dark brown tag and some lovely glossy papers from IndigoBlu ( I forgot I had these )

I covered my tag and then created two pockets and slipped some small tags and other bits inside.

I added a lace trim, rather than ribbon.

Michele's Buttons & Bows.

 I ventured in to my craft room, I wasn't there for very long, just enough time to get a Tag made for Michele's theme over at Tag Tuesday

I've not been well for almost 3wks,culminating in a bout of suspected food poisoning that took me off my feet for days.

Thankfully I am feeling a bit better, but I think it will be a few more days before I am back to normal.

 I  didn't want to let a fellow team  mate down on the design team at Tag Tuesday 

So here is my Tag....I decided to go with the theme of London, what with the Queens Platinum Jubilee coming up very soon.

Add some Stencilling

 It's been a while since I last posted, my hands have been pretty painful recently, so I took time out from crafting to give them a rest.

Over at Tag Tuesday, it's Pinky's turn to host the current challenge and her theme is to add some Stenciling. 

Now Stenciling isn't something I do a lot of, but I do have a stack of stencils, some bought, some gifted to me by my friend.

The stencil I have used is a section of a Mandela and I used different colours to make it stand out more.

I stamped some script and some grunge over the stenciling then stamped the images.

I stamped the paint tubes again on some spare card, coloured them and added them to my tag with sticky pads.

There is still about a week left before the challenge ends, so time enough if you would like to join in.

Animal Tags, wild or tame.

 Time again for another fun challenge over at Tag Tuesday.

The theme this time around was chosen by me and is Animals, wild or tame. Definitely no insects though.

I love animals, I often prefer them to people, animals are so loyal.

Over the years, while my children were growing up, we had many pets, cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils and several others. Each pet was loved and we were loved in return by them.

It is interesting now that many places, hospitals, care homes, schools etc, use animals to help with sick people, often with very good results, animals are very therapeutic.

My first tag is a Vintage Circus tag, back in the day there were many animals that made up a circus.

My 2nd project is actually an MDF Circle Tag Book that I made.

I wanted to keep the images in monochrome to give it a Vintage look.

The MDF tags and the circle tags ready for stamping on to.

Each tag was stamped using a different animal image.

The Circle Tag Book assembled, I just love that elephant and her baby.

Thistle Tag

Just popping in to share my Tag that I have made for Valerie's theme over at Tag Tuesday

She has chosen Blue and Green as her theme.

The tag itself was coloured using oxide inks in green and blue and spritzed with water, although in some areas it looks very yellowy, over that I stamped different text and numbers.

I also used oxide coloured card, again spritzed with water, to create the topper, then stamping my image once it was dry.

To finish I added some sisal strands and some coloured matted sisal strip in light and dark green.

Another Face Tag

 Oh my days, the noise here so early in the morning is quite scary. 3 men in my small bathroom are ripping out the bath and putting in a walk in shower.

Sounds like they are coming through to the lounge,lol.

So while I sit and clam down I thought I would post my 2nd Tag for Wendy's theme over at Tag Tuesday.

I covered my tag with book print and then used this lovely stamps over the top, isn't she cute.

At  guess the stamp could be by Paperbag Studio.

I love this image and although its almost a square stamp,it worked perfectly on my large round tag.

SPA Postcard

 Over at Sunday Postcard Art, Anne has chosen "Crowns" as her theme.

Luckily for me I still had a fair bit of stuff on my work desk relating to Crowns from a previous project that I did. So I decided to create my postcard before putting my stamps and other bits back where they belong.

I cut my postcard 4"x6" from some card stock left over from another project where I had used Oxide Inks.

I stencilled and stamped it before adding my stamped images ( Dina Wakely ) stamps.

The Crown and sentiment are from different stamps.

Love or Hearts Atc

 I love creating Atcs, so again I have entered this months challenge over at  Atc with a Heart

I used a pale pink atc that I stamped with red hearts.

I then added some paper scraps. The heart was stamped and then cut and adhered to the atc.

The cute cherub telegram boy was stamped, coloured and also added to my Atc.

This little cherub has been in my stash for years and it took me several days to find it!

I love that he is delivering love letters.

Mixed Media Page

 Hello Everyone, I'm just popping in to share with you my Mixed Media page.

I have entered it in to the challenge at Creative Artist Mixed Media

The theme is Anything Goes, but you must use multiple items.

I have used tissue paper, paint, rubber stamping, inks, washi tape and the boy from Tim Holtz collection of paper dolls/relatives.

I also used Asemic writing on my page....( Asemic writing is a wordless open semantic form of writing. The word asemic means "having no specific semantic content", or "without the smallest unit of meaning". With the non-specificity of asemic writing there comes a vacuum of meaning, which is left for the reader to fill in and interpret.)
